Shugoi
Technical anti-abuse recognition
Why this check?
The website you are visiting uses Shugoi to limit automation, fraud and circumvention of its rules. Depending on that website's configuration, the check may allow the visit, request an additional step or deny access.
What is analysed
Technical signals related to the browsing environment and request are evaluated to detect automation, fraud and circumvention of the website's rules. Decision rules and the detailed signal combination are not published because doing so would facilitate bypasses. Shugoi creates pseudonymised identifiers that remain personal data when they single out a device.
Limited scope
Data is not used for advertising and is not shared across separate customers. The same customer may recognise an identifier across websites it operates. Technical identifiers are retained for up to 13 months after last activity and events for up to 90 days.
Legal basis and choices
The customer website must determine and explain the appropriate legal basis. Shugoi is designed for a security use based on legitimate interests after a necessity and proportionality assessment; this conclusion is not automatic for every integration. The “OK” button continues the check and records that the notice was displayed, without being presented as consent. You may object to processing and challenge a denial with the website you visited or at [email protected].
